Dreams of beautiful, colors, faces and feelings, absent the ritual that grew from needs into upward mobility vehicles and taught out of the child until naked knees are ever slowly pressed on the asphalt in front of the steel and glass paper electricity king so as not to awaken inner strength and diminish will to live morphed into addiction and behavior squeezed into a strange corner. Heavy enough at least pondered.

In 1993, the band released Bloodlife, consisting of eight tracks examining relations amongst the silken dissimulation machine. Since the Spiritual Vision album in 1988 and the Existence EP in 1989 (now collectors items), the melting vinyl of primary musical influences had claimed a more individual ambiance, with the songwriting maturing. Youarewho takes this sound even deeper into the root zone, and connoisseurs of industrial / gothic / dirge / electronic music will no doubt have their dendrites exposed to the sonic cuttings this album Crimson Ivy propagates.

Crimson Ivy is an industrial / gothic / dirge / electronic / alternative / rock band born in San Jose, California in the 1980s, thriving into the 1990s, and falling asleep until 2009. Now revived, shaken and stirred, they brew a unique dark roast of techno, goth, metal and industrial java that stirs up a raw verve more common in rock bands like Prong or Motorhead.

"If Bloodlife was a bludgeoning with a blunt object from the inside of your thoughts, Youarewho is more like ice on a tooth with an exposed root where a cavity has fallen out. Of course, with all Crimson Ivy albums, we'll give you the audio Novocaine after a few songs- otherwise you wouldn't be able to hear us above the scream," gests Russ - or "Rusty Punkture Elder Sloth." The themes are harsh and realist on this one, be warned. "...and yes, you're gonna hear some industrial AND some goth- because we're still in the round dimension - more than one side." Russ rambles over the shoulder from within.
